NEWSLETTER | November 2024
The year is coming to an end, and it is time for us to celebrate and reflect.
Hello,
Over the past few months, we have collaborated with stakeholders in our community on themes that matter to YOUTH.
Our first collaboration was done with Mr. Lionel Pedro (Principal of Die Bron Primary School in Stanford), Michelle Baker (MEd Design Thinking Practitioner) and myself in my role of Occupational Therapist. We offered a program that was run at Die Bron Primary School for 17 young people who had been placed at the school as assistants to the teachers by the Western Cape's Department of Education.
On Youth Day, the 16th June we participated and collaborated with Michelle Baker, Food-4-Thought NPO and the Wortelgat Outreach Trust sparking conversations about how the youth of today can become game changers in our communities and leaders of today and tomorrow.
We want to support young people in our community and the surrounding areas. We want to listen to their needs, to support them in these, and to take note of their dreams and visions for their future.
We wish to offer programmes to cater for the needs expressed by young voices in our region, where there is currently so little support for them.
If you wish to take part in supporting the next generation; offering your skills and resources to build capacity. please contact us if you want to get involved.
I hope you find our newsletter interesting and an enjoyable read.
Take care and warm wishes,
Regina
