Route

Route

The Stanford 100 Miler 2015 rewards riders who are strong but smart, saving a bit of energy for the tricky final sections.

After a short, easy start out of the village, riders head south along smooth gravel roads beside the Uilkraals River. Clay-hardpack dominates here, so keep your line steady as you zig-zag along.

Turning north, the real challenge begins. The roads remain mostly smooth gravel, but bumps and wet clay sections demand care. Push too hard downhill, and a crash could be just around the corner.

Once over the last climb, it’s time for a final burst of power to the finish line, where cheering supporters await to celebrate your ride.

Tally-ho! The adventure is yours.

Important:
  • The route will be timed and marked
  • A fully functional GPS device is essential
  • There will be full medical backup
  • Refreshment stations (5 - 100 miler / 3 - 50 miler / 1 - 25 miler)
  • GPX files, as well as final race information, will be sent via email the week before the race
  • No goodie bag containing junk (we’ll do something useful, memorable and handmade)
