On Saturday from 09:00 The Saturday Morning Market will be in full swing on the Hotel Veranda with their French-themed bakes and delicacies including wine tasting. This will also mark the official opening of the Museum at The Stanford Hotel.
At 1 pm, the team from Retrospective Fashion will be selling their stunning retro fashion in Lace Boutique (at The Stanford Hotel) & The Roknbellas (Cape Town) will offer 1950s make-overs for a max of 8 ladies who wish to dazzle at the three main evening events. Renowned photographer, John de Garis will be offering pin-up photo shoots at his new studio in Queen Victoria Street.
At 5 pm, Cocktails will be served at the newly opened Stanford Republic at Coffee Corner!
At 6 pm, The Stanford Hotel will be hosting a 1950s vintage fashion show. The fashions will include original vintage clothing from Romantiques in Hermanus and recreations from Retrospective Fashion in Cape Town. From 7.30 Graze Slow Food Cafe & La Trattoria in Stanford will be hosting evenings of French Cuisine and music with a 1950s theme.
On Sunday 16 July, Antiques will be on sale at The New Junk Shop, Tat Antiques, Lace Boutique, Stanford Trading Store, and Sir Robert Stanford Antiques. A walking art route will also be featured with all the main galleries open from 9 am. Breakfast and brunch will be served at all the local village coffee shops.
