Mardi Gras Street Parade

All the local kids will be busy during the holidays making costumes and masks to wear for our very first  Mardi Gras-like community Parade. In the late afternoon, the Parade will snake its way through the village, lead by a Klopse troupe, the local trompoppie troupe and choir, starting at the Community Centre and ending at the NG Church Grounds.

Live Music

Five venues spread across the village will host six bands, all for one price. Make up your own mind who you want to see, and move between the venues.

All venues (except the NG Kerk) are licensed and will serve food – see ticket prices for more information

Vastrap!

An almost free concert featuring Tribal Echo and Mr Cat and the Jackal.

Party Zone

Late nite party featuring funky skanksters the Time Flies, Nick Turner Trio and Dubmasta China.

The village is home to award-winning restaurants, wine estates and the Birkenhead Brewery. Sample some of the fare at the festival grounds from noon onwards.

Workshops

Musicians, writers and artists will present a wide variety of workshops to share some of the skills that made them successful.

Small Planet Kids Programme

Leave your kids in a safe space. Mask making, drawing or just playing will keep your child occupied while you sample what the festival has to offer (see map).

And More…

Catch the Morning Market on Saturday for homemade goodies that you can eat, wear, or treat your body with. Local musicians will be busking at select places, and a beer tent with a selection of craft beer will keep you up to speed (or not…) Make your mark on a collective canvas, or create a work of art on the street surface.
