Chris and Amanda De Wit bought Welgesind Wine Estate in 2007.
This young wine farm is fast earning a reputation for delivering high-quality wines that uniquely complement the Overberg wines and their Koffieklip terroir.
Welgesind Wine Estate introduce their limited edition wines:
Inspired by Chris’s former life as a mechanic, the full-bodied Shiraz has rich colour and dark berry flavours. The deep red colour is typical of the Overberg Shiraz’s uniqueness and dark berry flavours.
Perfect for any occasion but especially delicious with a thick juicy steak, spicy curry, charcuterie or on its own.
Welgesind Romanse - Blanc de Noir
Created on the 14th of February and christened by Amanda to celebrate the day of love, Welgesind Romanse is a fresh, fruity and light Blanc de Noir made from single vineyard shiraz grapes. These juicy grapes are picked earlier than is the norm to ensure a light-bodied wine that is low in alcohol.
Perfect for all seasons, paired with salads, fish, meat, creamy cheeses or quite simply on its own.
