29 Pondokkie Street is a rustic seaside holiday house in Suiderstrand, which falls within the Agulhas National Park.
The house is circled by fynbos and the lilting sounds of birdlife, with great views stretching into the blue yonder. The pebbled musical beach is an easy 250m stroll from the house itself, while a beautiful turquoise lagoon awaits you 800m due south.

On ground level, the main house features an open-plan family room with fireplace. There’s also a twin bedroom and a double room with additional sleeper couch for the kids. Each room has its own bathroom. Head upstairs and you’ll find two newly-built en-suite bedrooms, both sporting double beds and ocean views. In the annex building alongside, you'll find an extra two bedrooms, two bathrooms and an indoor braai. With a total of six bedrooms and six bathrooms, not to mention the large outside entertainment area, 29 Pondokkie Street is nicely suited to large groups of friends or family (and it's wheel-chair friendly!).
Apart from fishing, lolling on the deck and watching the sun dip into the Atlantic, your days will be filled with long walks on the beach (Struisbaai has the longest uninterrupted beach in the southern hemisphere), a visit to the Agulhas lighthouse, mingling with weather-beaten locals at the harbour, whale watching in season, and possibly a day trip or two to De Hoop Nature Reserve and De Mond.
