“The Betty’s Bay Parkrun is in the most beautiful park run location with mountains, sea views and an amazing botanical garden, all in one.” Tim Elliott
“Betty’s Bay Parkrun in the Harold Porter National Botanical Garden. All Parkruns start at 8:00 sharp so be there 10 to 15 minutes before. There is ample free parking in the gardens or up the side street. The botanical garden kindly gives free entry to those taking part in the Parkrun. This parkrun has a loop system so you repeat part of the run. The marshalling is excellent or you can just follow a regular. The route is uneven in places with up-hills and downhills, so it isn’t suitable for prams (or if you are unsteady on your feet). We bought a coffee at the restaurant and found a bench to enjoy the garden after our walk. This must be one of my favourite Parkruns for the scenery, the people who marshal and the participants.” Rosemary Smith
“Lovely venue and a well-organised parkrun through the beautiful botanical garden along paved and smooth dirt pathways. You run up from the valley so there is a gradual incline for at least half the route. The course includes some repeated sections and can be confusing at times. It’s not too congested and you could have a good time here. The restaurant is a great place to stay for coffee and breakfast afterwards.” Gus B
