A very special member of staff celebrated her 50th birthday recently and all the children and teachers gathered to sing to her and show their love and appreciation for someone who is everything to everybody at Pikkewyntjies. A special tea which for once she didn’t prepare was laid on in Louise’s honour.
Since the lockdown was lifted the school day has been a busy place. There’s quite a bit of catching up to do before Juffrou Zaan is comfortable the Pikkewyntjies will dive into the big, wide waters of school without a splash.
Sadly the 2020 school concert has had to be cancelled but on the other hand, with time in short supply to finish the syllabus, it may be not such a bad thing. In any case, the children love school.
Pikkewyntjies / Penguinkidz Pre-School is a non-profit early childhood education centre in Betty’s Bay where underprivileged children between the ages of two and six years get taught their ABCs and 123s.
