OOV-Dance
A big thank you to the OOV team who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the "Back to the 80s" fundraising dance such a huge success.
Examination Supervision at Struisbaai and Arniston
We are grateful that despite recent flood conditions, our learners affected by BDs were able to complete their exam papers. Special thanks to Arniston Hotel and Struisbaai Skills School for providing venues for the exams. We extend heartfelt thanks to the following supervisors for their invaluable assistance:

Cape Town Eisteddfod
Several Hip Hop dancers from Mr. Marlon Olivier's Just Dance school participated in the Cape Town Eisteddfod on June 7. They performed exceptionally well and have been invited to the Prestige Concert on June 14 in Sea Point. We are proud of our BDs for upholding our school's name and wish them success in their performance.
Choir
The Bredasdorp High School Choir held their annual choir camp from June 7th weekend at Ruens College. The learners made significant progress in their music amidst daily practices, team-building activities, and relaxation. Positive feedback from learners underscores their anticipation for next year's camp. Special thanks to Mrs. Simóne Rossouw for organizing the camp and Mr. Pierre Etienne Rossouw for invigilating and support.
Orators
Good luck to Willem Strauss, William Swartbooi, and San-Mari Rossouw, all in grade 11, participating in the first round of the Western Cape competition in Bredasdorp, scheduled at the Caledon Casino for the second round.
Robotics
The robotics team will present their project, the FREDOM FLIGHT - HIV Drone Delivery System, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Port Elizabeth from June 24 to June 27. Team members Kaylee Nel, Jessica Burger, Daniel Fourie, and Stephan Lochner will be accompanied by Miss Sandré Prins. Our best wishes to them.
Top 10 Achievements Term 2 Parents' Evening
• Grade 8: July 11, 2024, from 17:30 to 18:30, in the school hall.
• Grade 9: July 11, 2024, from 18:40 to 19:40, in the school hall.
• Grades 10-12: July 11, 2024, from 17:30 to 21:00, appointments with teachers by contacting Mrs. Vermeulen at (028 424 1210).
Msinga Outreach
Nine learners departed with Ms. L Lombard and the Bredasdorp Community to Msinga Outreach in Kwazulu Natal, returning on June 23.
Sports
NETBALL
• Overberg Team: Various players participating from July 3-6 in Riversdale at the Western Cape Inter-District Netball Tournament.
• Senior Overberg Netball Team: Congratulations to Anina Treurnicht selected for the Senior Overberg Team competing from December 1-7 in Johannesburg at the Spar National Netball Tournament.
HOCKEY
• Caleb Witbooi: Representing Boland IPT U14 boys' team at the National Championships in Johannesburg from June 14-18.
BOAT ANGLING
• Hugo Bester: Representing the Western Cape team at the "Junior National Bottom Fish" Championships from June 16-22, 2024.
YOUTH SHOW
• Various BDs participating in the Western Cape Youth Show Trials at Nampo Park from June 16-18.
