Love Through Horses

Join Pony Pals horse riding school at Bredasdorp Park and Prinskraal Farm from Monday to Saturday, for horse riding lessons, and rides. A team of qualified trainers offer basic, advanced, showing and endurance training to horse lovers of all ages and levels of experience. Learn to saddle-up correctly before you walk, trot and canter, in style. Outrides are available on request and vary in duration. Fun-filled children's parties can be held on the farm or at a venue of your choice. Furthermore, Pony Pals facilitate the Overberg Pony Club and also front an NPO called Love through Horses that provide free riding lessons to disadvantaged children, and those with special needs. The horses and ponies at Pony Pals love the camera and can be hired, with a handler, for matric farewells, weddings, movies and ads.

Pony Pals is fronted by Mariska Marais who has spent years in the saddle and has competed in and organized numerous equestrian events and competitions. Mariska has a deep passion for working with children and animals.

Horse Riding Lessons

Pony Pals offer basic and advanced horse-riding lessons:

Beginner Lessons

Beginner horse riding lessons introduce you to the world of horses and set the foundation of what is bound to become many happy hours spent in the saddle. The lessons cover theory, care and riding. Once students have completed basic training they can specialise in a specific discipline.

Endurance Riding

Endurance riding is an equestrian event based on controlled long-distance horseback riding. Perfect for scholars in rural areas, endurance riding is an ultra-marathon for horse and rider.

Advanced Lessons

Advanced horse riding lesson includes specific disciples such as:

Showing
Dressage
Jumping

Two-Hour Pony Experience

Pony Pals presents the Two-Hour Pony Experience. This is the ideal opportunity to understand and experience ponies as well as an ideal activity for the holidays.

The two-hours include:

Fetching your pony
Grooming
Tacking-up

Riding lesson
Outride
Feeding farm animals

Youth Shows

Pony Pals competes in various agricultural shows both locally and nationally. Training includes:

Theory
Wash
Preparation
Showman Class

Although Pony Pals focus on Horse Showing they are able to refer trainers for the showing of animals other than horses.

Children’s Parties

Have your next children's party at Prinskraal Farm or alternatively, Pony Pals can bring the ponies to a location of your choice for mini-rides led by an experienced handler.
