Thank You For Feeding A Stray!
After a busy food and fundraising campaign in Bredasdorp, Kleinmond, Hermanus and Caledon, Caledon FMs last stop in the Feed-a-Stray community drive was at Anré Funeral Service in Gansbaai.
The Feed-a-Stray Community Drive Exceeded All Expectations - Feed-a-Stray Was A Huge Success!
When the Gansbaai community generously opened their hearts and donated an incredible 2,365kg of pet food on the last day of the Feed-a-Stray drive, it brought the total amount of food collected for stray cats and dogs to almost 7,500kg! That’s right, a mammoth 7.5 tonnes of food for hungry stray animals in the Overberg!
Communities Stand Together To Assist Local Animal Welfare Organisations
Caledon FM would like to thank everyone who participated. Each community in every town visited went over and above the call for donations. From the businesses that challenged each other on a larger scale to private individuals who donated what they could afford in pet food and cash, every pellet and cent will be making a difference in the lives of various animal welfare organisations in the Overberg and the cats and dogs they work so hard to protect. A special word of thanks goes to CFM Wireless, Debs and the CFM radio presenters, Hannes Smal and the staff at Anré Funeral Services, and Eagle Security in Gansbaai who volunteered their services without hesitation at the last moment.
