Happy Women's Day to all the resilient, smart, dedicated and powerful women who lead with passion and commitment in our communities.
On behalf of the administration, we would also like to thank each of our female staff members on the ground, in the administration, volunteers and community leaders.
The Executive Mayor of Theewaterskloof Municipality, Karel Papier, would also like to extend his heartfelt wish to each and every woman on this very special Women's Day.
"I want to thank all women for the huge roles they play in each sphere of life.
Women play a phenomenal role in not only their homes but in the broader society too," he says.
"Women are forced to wear 100 different hats each day as mothers, caregivers, nurses, teachers and so much more and yet they do it all effortlessly and selflessly.
Women play vast roles in the development of our country and their contributions are valuable. Let us not only celebrate women today, but every day for the critical role they fulfil."
Wishing everyone a blessed Women's Day.
