1 February 2024: First Thursdays
Join us for the relaunch of our monthly First Thursdays events!
Join us for our very own "First Thursdays" on 7 July 2022 at Afrikanos!
The First Thursdays concept started in Cape Town in 2012, and in Johannesburg in 2015.
Inspired by similar initiatives in other cities around the world, the monthly event, taking place on the first Thursday of every month, is centered around a primary programme of art galleries and cultural attractions that are open to the public until late.
The initiative is equally about access to the arts as it is about injecting life into our spaces.
Our 'First Thursdays' initiative will be to provide local artists and musicians a platform to showcase their talents in a comfortable and casual environment, after hours.
Last month's First Thursdays kicked off with a bang!
We're planning another special event so pencil in the date for July! 7 July 2022 from 18H00.
Wine tasting from Lomond Wines.
Enjoy a wine tasting right here at Afrikanos between 18:00 and 20:00.
We've got an awesome special guest musician in for the evening. Music starts at 18:00.
Meet some of the artists... more information to follow.
