1 February 2024: First Thursdays
Join us for the relaunch of our monthly First Thursdays events!
Join us for our very own "First Thursdays" on 4 August 2022 at Afrikanos!
Time: 18:00 onwards
The First Thursdays concept started in Cape Town in 2012, and in Johannesburg in 2015.
Inspired by similar initiatives in other cities around the world, the monthly event, taking place on the first Thursday of every month, is centered around a primary programme of art galleries and cultural attractions that are open to the public until late.
The initiative is equally about access to the arts as it is about injecting life into our spaces.
Our 'First Thursdays' initiative will be to provide local artists and musicians with a platform to showcase their talents in a comfortable and casual environment, after hours.
Wine tasting from Lomond Wines.
MUSIC BY Merely Me. Listen here and here.
Raised by musical gorillas, nurtured by the forest and originally discovered floating down a tributary of the congo river on a tiny banjo.
Come have a listen! The music starts at 18:00.
