1 February 2024: First Thursdays
Join us for the relaunch of our monthly First Thursdays events!
Join us for another 'First Thursdays' on the 6th of October 2022 at Afrikanos!
The 'First Thursdays' concept started in Cape Town in 2012, and in Johannesburg in 2015.
Inspired by similar initiatives in other cities around the world, the monthly event, taking place on the first Thursday of every month, is centred around a primary programme of art and cultural attractions that are open to the public until late.
The initiative is equally about access to the arts as it is about injecting life into our spaces.
Our 'First Thursdays' concept is to provide local artists and musicians with a platform to showcase their talents in a comfortable, casual environment, after hours.
October's edition will feature none other than Overberg musician Francois Kriel and a variety of uniquely talented guest artists.
Child of the Overberg, Francois Kriel brings back musical favourites from decades past to fresh, new songs, that will get you moving.
Francois Kriel is a passionate professional musician on a mission to spread joy and have fun.
Exhibitions by murg, Lorraine van Wyk, Linda Budde and more!
