The business has a strong pedigree dating back to Andre's dad, who was also in the tyre game. Andre was a district manager for India Tyres for several years, after which he pioneered the concept of a mobile tyre shop. The husband and wife team then had a tyre fitment centre in Grabouw, but always loved holidays spent in Gansbaai and jumped at the opportunity to relocate to Gansbaai and open Bay Tyres.
