Bay Tyres is a family-owned business with over 50 years of experience, run by Andre and Erna Esterhuizen and their son Stefan.
The business has a strong pedigree dating back to Andre’s dad, who was also in the tyre game.
Andre followed in his footsteps, spending several years as a district manager for India Tyres before pioneering the concept of a mobile tyre shop. After owning a fitment centre in Grabouw, Andre and Erna had the opportunity to take the next step in their journey.
The Esterhuizens had always enjoyed visiting Gansbaai for holidays, and when the opportunity arose to relocate their business to the area, it felt like the perfect fit. They opened Bay Tyres in 2017, bringing their experience and commitment to service excellence to a community they had already grown to love.
Andre draws on the relationships and contacts he has built up over the years to negotiate great prices. As an independent retailer, Bay Tyres passes these savings on to customers without the added franchise mark-ups.
