I thought I’d take a moment to share a little more about myself so we can get to know each other better. As a veterinary surgeon, I work closely with pet owners to care for their horses, cats, and dogs. I feel truly privileged to have journeyed alongside many clients—from those first exciting days welcoming a new puppy, kitten, or a young horse that’s never even been backed, all the way through to supporting them in their senior years.
Along the way, these beloved animals become so much more than patients. Working together with their owners to ensure they live the happiest, healthiest, and longest life possible brings me immense joy.
While I absolutely love my career and the wonderful families I meet, I also have a few hobbies that I’m passionate about!
Growing up in KZN, spicy food has always been a part of life. I love making mazavaroo (spicy chili), and over the years I’ve had a lot of fun growing all kinds of chili peppers and sharing them with friends and family. Some of my hotter creations are definitely for the very brave!
Cooking is another passion of mine. Sticking with the “hot” theme, I enjoy making curries—but I also love creating sweet treats, like ice cream. It’s a wonderful balance of flavors and creativity.
Living in this beautiful country has given me a deep love for the outdoors. Camping, fishing, and spending time on or near the ocean are all places where I feel at home. My family and I have enjoyed camping trips across South Africa and neighbouring countries, creating countless happy memories around evening fires, listening to the sounds of the bush.
Lately, I’ve been loving life by the sea. My family, along with our two schnauzers, enjoys soaking in the sights and sounds of the beach. We’ve traded the calls of the Hadeda for the calls of seagulls—and we couldn’t be happier with our new home.
