Jacques and Ronel le Roux made Gansbaai their home and established Cape Wood Harvesters in 2018.

Jacques, originally from Knysna, developed a passion for land management at a young age. By 12, he was already assisting his father with firebreaks and plot clearing, and he would chop Rooikrans wood to earn some pocket money.

With a commitment to their community, Jacques and Ronel have turned their business into a platform for job creation, employing approximately fifty people through their various ventures in Gansbaai.
