Elim Home Outreach

Elim Home Outreach Gansbaai was established by Elim Home in 2006 after it was realised that a daycare centre for children with severe intellectual and physical disabilities was urgently needed. Little ones from as young as two years old attend the centre, and disabilities range from fetal alcohol syndrome to Down’s syndrome and severe autism. The centre currently caters for 18 children and administers a highly beneficial ‘early years’ therapy and stimulation programme that has been proven medically to prevent future severities and deterioration in their already debilitating conditions. The daycare centre operates from Monday to Friday and relies heavily on financial and volunteer assistance from the community. About

Elim Home Outreach Gansbaai is a support group that was made possible by the financial support of Children's Fund MAMAS, the Department of Social Development and the Department of Health. The outreach project is very dependant on the support of the Gansbaai Clinic and its staff, as well as social services and the generous support of the public.

In 2017 the outreach moved from their premises under the Gansbaai Tourism offices to their new home in Church Street, Gansbaai.

Elim Home
