On Saturday, 18 April 2015 Mayor Nicolette Botha Guthrie became the proud recipient of the coveted “Star Performer of the Year:  Councillor” award which was presented to her by outgoing DA Provincial Leader, Dr Ivan Meyer. 

Her tireless efforts since being elected Mayor have done much to ensure the Overstrand Municipality is recognised as a bastion of good gover-nance and service delivery.  Under her stewardship, the Municipality has come to embody the essence of an open, opportunity-driven society for all.

The Mayor’s unstinting and unselfish delivery of exemplary service to the DA party and the Municipality has further played a significant role in Municipal IQ recognising the Overstrand as the top-performing municipality in terms of productivity in 2014.

This very ethos has also resulted in the Overstrand Municipality achieving a clean audit once again for the financial year 2013/14.
