Gansbaai Courant het heelwat klagtes van padgebruikers ontvang dat die R43-pad tussen Stanford en Gansbaai onveilig is.
The annual general meeting of the Pearly Beach Conservancy will take place on Friday 16 December 2016 at 10:00 in the NG Church in Pearly Beach. This is the one event of the year where members and visitors can get to know each other better, can learn more about the Conservancy and its activities, and can submit proposals and inputs on how the Pearly Beach Conservancy can improve its operations. The chair’s report and financial report will be tabled, the membership fees need to be determined and the election of the management committee will be dealt with.
And then, as usual, a guest speaker has been invited to address the meeting. This year it will be Irna van Zyl, the local author of the recently published book Moordvis/Dead in the Water. She will speak on all the research that was necessary for the book, as well as whales, sharks, conservation, etc.
Very exciting news that will also be discussed, is the launching of the Pearly Beach booklet by the Conservancy - this will be a must read, just like Moordvis! All interested parties are invited to attend.
