Gansbaai Courant het heelwat klagtes van padgebruikers ontvang dat die R43-pad tussen Stanford en Gansbaai onveilig is.
At 08h30, Sunday, 17 April, NSRI Hermanus duty crew were activated following reports of a rigid inflatable boat found by members of the public and which appeared to be washed ashore and unmanned at Uilen-kraalsmond near to Gansbaai.
With no reports of anyone missing or overdue NSRI Hermanus dispatched a sea rescue vehicle to investigate an on arrival on the scene no boat was found when Police confirmed that a group of men had come to collect the boat earlier and they had claimed to have capsized in the surf the day before and left the boat on the shoreline overnight before coming to collect their boat this mor-ning.
The men had confirmed to Police that no one had been injured in the incident.
