'n Inskrywing op WCC se webtuiste lui soos volg: "We are a member based organisation founded with the mission to unify, co-ordinate and promote environmentally sustainable living in the Cape Whale Coast region of the Western Cape, South Africa. Our vision is that the Cape Whale Coast community will be a vibrant, environmentally sustainable community. We are committed to inspiring people in the Cape Whale Coast region to become a vibrant and environmentally sustainable community. We work with community, business and government and champion responsible environmental management and optimal utilisation of our ecosystem services. The OCF is registered both as a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) and as a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO), which means that donations and bequests to the organisation are eligible for tax deductions."

Hulle werksaamhede is in 4 fokuspunte opgedeel: "Eco-Management (including Eco-advocacy and Eco-watch); Eco-Learning; Cape Whale Coast Going Green; Eco-Community." WCC se missie en Visie spreek vanself: "Mission - is to conserve the natural wonders of the Cape Whale Coast by championing responsible, co-ordinated environmental management and living a one-planet, sustainable lifestyle; Vision - is that the Cape Whale Coast will be an ecologically treasured environment within which to build a vibrant environmentally, socially and economically sustainable community."
