Three workshops on tax matters will be presented next week by the SA Revenue Service in collaboration with the Overstrand Municipality’s Local Economic Development Directorate.
The purpose of these workshops is to create a better understanding of the South African tax system as well as the compliance issues that relate to the application and attaining of tax clearance certificates for the purpose of tendering.
The target audience is both business owners and individual taxpayers. Attendance is free. Each workshop will take about three hours.
The workshops will take place on the following dates and venues:
24 July 2013: Mount Pleasant Community Hall: Time: 09:00
25 July 2013: Mount Pleasant Community Hall: Time: 09:00
26 July 2013: Mthimkhulu Village, Kleinmond: Time: 09:00
Amongst the topics that will be covered at these workshops are income tax, Value Added Tax (VAT), the Pay as You Earn-system (PAYE), provisional tax, turnover tax and small business tax.
