Gansbaai Courant het heelwat klagtes van padgebruikers ontvang dat die R43-pad tussen Stanford en Gansbaai onveilig is.
Jean de Villiers has been appointed by the Overstrand municipality as Operational Manager: Gansbaai with effect from the 1st of August 2014. He will be responsible for all operational activities of the municipality in the greater Gansbaai area, which covers Stanford, De Kelders, Gansbaai, Franskraal, Pearly Beach and Baardskeerdersbos.
Jean, who is a registered Professional Civil Engineer, previously worked as Engineer at the Breede Valley municipality, following several years in consulting and construction. “To live and work in Overstrand is a dream come true” says Jean, who is looking forward to enjoying the unique and varied lifestyle opportunities that the Overstrand area has to offer with his wife, Sara, and their 10-month old baby daughter, Rebecca. The previous Operational Manager, Dirk Crafford, retired on 30 June 2014.
