Gansbaai Courant het heelwat klagtes van padgebruikers ontvang dat die R43-pad tussen Stanford en Gansbaai onveilig is.
Cape Whale Coast received an “Award of Excellence" as "Best Local Destination 2015" at the 2015 Cape Getaway Show held at Lourensford Wine Estate 13 - 15 March. Over 15,700 visitors were exposed to the Overstrand Municipality brand.
The criteria was based on the beauty of the stand and images used, best showcased what the area has to offer, the friendliness as well as depth of knowledge of the team who manned the stand, including the Hermanus Whale Crier concept.
Finally, the Cape Whale Coast prizes given to competition winners at Cape Getaway were singled out as outstanding, focusing on the quality of our collateral, the beautifully crafted branded items echoing the flavour of our holiday destination, and the products sourced from the local tourism bureau members.
Amongst those who received awards were 2 local products of the Cape Whale Coast, namely: The Windsor Hotel (2nd/Best Accommodation) and Fynbos Trails (Award of Excellence/Activity).
