One of the highlights of the club’s year ended on Monday night with the prize giving of our 2015 Photo Competition. The theme of the competition was “Action”.

The competition judge was Birgit Hoffmeyer from the Hermanus Photography Club who kindly came through to Gansbaai for the event which started with a presentation of some of her own work. She is a very creative photographer and has some magnificent work and we all left inspired and stirred up to experiment more with our own photography.

Our congratulations go to the prize winners who were:
1^st & 2^nd prize - Riaan Jacobs;
3^rd prize - Jane Bailey;
4^th prize - Veronica du Plessis,
runner up Yvonne Joubert.

A prize giving would never be complete if not for those who generously donate the prizes.

We are sincerely grateful to the following:
Aire Del Mar for a complementary night in their guest house which was given to our judge Brigit;
Coffee on the Rocks for the 1^st prize;
Lighthouse Tavern for the 2^nd prize;
Tuscany’s Restaurant for the 3^rd and 4^th prizes and to
Riaan and Dorothea Jacobs for their donation of some wine and olives.

Our club meetings are held on the 1^st and 3^rd Monday of each month. Our next meeting will be on the 20^th April where Riaan Jacobs will speak on “Post Production”.
