Karin Franken established Kaliko Boutique Fabric Shop in September 2020.
As a child, Karen’s mom and grandmother, both talented seamstresses, laid the foundations for her love for sewing and handicrafts.
After years of practising as a pharmacist at Gansbaai Apteek (now Arie Nel Pharmacy), Karin was inspired by her daughter Liezel to realise her dream of developing her creative side, and Kaliko was born.
