Fransie Taylor, a long-time Gansbaai resident and business owner has built up a massive client base of locals and visitors over the years who are interested in the arts and crafts industry.
Fransie is passionate about sharing her love for knitting, crocheting, and art and crafts. With this in mind, she is on an ongoing quest to inspire others by hosting classes and workshops in every medium possible.
When she is not working or teaching in one of her shops, Fransie enjoys uplifting the community, especially those in their golden years, by distributing wool, knitting and crocheting accessories, and crafting materials donated to her by the public.
Knit & Knot and Crafters Den stock a massive range of wool in every colour imaginable and in thicknesses that range from 4-ply to 3XL chunky, as well as a wide selection of knitting and crocheting needles in all sizes, thicknesses and stitch techniques. Fransie is always ready with advice and welcomes clients to browse her woolwork and craft library for ideas and inspiration.

Did you know? Knit & Knot and Crafters Den is the home for a growing family of handmade export-quality teddy bears. Lovingly crafted by Fransie Taylor using imported ‘bear-tarials’ each bear is unique and has a personality of its own.
Although most of the teddies are collector items and not for sale, they do enjoy visits from the bear-loving public. Occasionally Fransie sells one or two so you might just be in luck!
