This determined entrepreneur completed the Grootbos Foundation's Entrepreneurship Programme in his final Matric year at Gansbaai Academia after which he received seed funding to open the first Internet Cafe in Masakhane, a dream come true for him. He could now offer a unique service to all in Masakhane. He finds it important to teach the people in his community about technology because he knows technology is the way of the future and knowledge is power! Lubeni's Internet Cafe provides a space for people to answer emails, compile CV’s or research something up on the internet.
While running the business he realised that many people have difficulties with technology and in particular the language of the computer. So he started teaching computer skills in his mother language. This way it is easier for his learners to understand and remember how a computer works.
Lubeni has big plans for the future. He is wanting to expand his business by adding a second container. He also wants to focus on providing a platform for people who would like to create an app. To create a development area that can uplift the community in technology even more than he is doing now.
