Marine Dynamics Academy is based in Kleinbaai just a few minutes drive from Gansbaai. The Academy offers marine and nature enthusiasts a range of life-changing courses and experiences that are each designed to improve the skills and employability prospects of the students and attendees. The Guide Training Courses are endorsed by the Field Guides Association of Southern Africa (FGASA) and are designed and presented by Grant Hine who is well-known in nature and culture guiding industries. The courses provide a platform not only for the education and recognised qualification of guides but for the local community to improve their knowledge of the natural environment around them.   • Master's Degree in Psychology

Marine Dynamics Coastal-Marine Nature Guide Course

The Coastal-Marine Nature Guide Course is a six-week full-time course and is perfect for those who aim to become full-time Nature Guides on a professional level.

Cost:

  • R35,000 per student (includes accommodation)
  • R25,000 per student (excludes accommodation)

Certificate:

After final assessments competent guides will be awarded the following certificates:

  • FGASA (Field Guides Association of Southern Africa)
  • CATHSSETA (Culture, Art, Tourism, Hospitality, and Sport Sector Education and Training Authority)

These certifications will allow you to register as a legal guide with the National Department of Tourism and allow you to guide in an area that you have been declared competent to guide in.

If you would like to add additional certificates to your Coastal-Marine Nature Guide Certificate, Marine Dynamics Academy offers training at an extra cost. Courses include:
