MEC - Make Everyday Count Printing was started in 2020 by Lee-Ann Swanepoel.
Born and raised in Gansbaai, Lee-Ann brings a strong personal connection to her work, and the business has grown from a local initiative into a trusted name in the greater community.
“My journey with Make Everyday Count Printing (MEC) began as a part-time photography business, with a little printing on the side. At the time, I never imagined where that journey would lead.
When COVID-19 changed the world, it also changed my life. Like many people, I experienced difficult times and personal loss, but I also found an unexpected opportunity. That season encouraged me to think differently, learn new skills, and turn MEC into a full-time business.
Everything I know has been learned step by step through determination, curiosity, and a willingness to keep growing. Looking back, I can honestly say that I would never have discovered so many possibilities if I hadn’t been forced to adapt.
I started the business with a simple goal: to offer affordable Christian printing and products that would encourage and inspire others. What began with mugs, apparel, and faith-based merchandise has grown to include paper printing, personalised gifts, metal engraving, embossing, and a wide range of custom printing services.
Every design is created by me unless otherwise stated. I love exploring new ideas, developing new products, and finding creative ways to help make someone else’s day a little brighter. Every item I produce is made with the same care and attention I would give if I were making it for myself.
One of the things I enjoy most is creating personalised gifts. A personalised gift tells a story, celebrates a memory, and becomes something truly meaningful for the person receiving it.

1. Creatively: I use the gifts God has given me to create products that inspire, encourage, and bring joy.
2. Purposefully: I strive to live intentionally and create work that has lasting meaning.
3. Spiritually: I seek to grow in my faith and allow God's purpose to shape both my life and my business.
4. Personally: I choose gratitude, hope, and continual growth, even through life’s challenges.
5. Relationally: I aim to build genuine relationships, serve others with kindness, and leave people better than I found them.
I truly believe that every day is a gift from God. My mission is to help others celebrate life’s meaningful moments and make each day count with purpose, love, and creativity.”
Alongside running MEC, Lee-Ann also serves as a pastor at the Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) church, where she is actively involved in leadership and ministry.
Away from work, she can often be found at the beach with her two Staffordshire terriers by her side.
