The Berea Primary School started life way back in 1865 when the Moravian Missionaries in Genadendal decided that a new village could relieve the overpopulation in Genadendal. A church house was built with the first 12 students being educated in one of the rooms of the house.
Just a year later the students here had already doubled to 24 and now 150 years later we educate 340 children.
