Experience Overberg

The Experience Overberg readers’ photograph competition (the "Competition") is open to all SA citizens. No persons under the age of 18 may enter due to the nature of the prize.

Employees or freelance contributors of Storyline Studio (Publisher) and Experience Overberg (“EO”), or their family members, or anyone else connected with the Competition may not enter the Competition.

The Competition is open to all photographers (both amateur and professional).

Entrants into the Competition shall be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.

To enter the Competition, you must upload your image to Facebook

(https://www.facebook.com/experienceoverberg) and include the following information:

- Photographer name, date taken and location taken

The image must not have been published previously in/on any other publication or website.

You may enter as many times as you like.

By submitting an entry to the Competition, you grant EO:

- Permission for your entry to be published on EO websites including but not limited to storylinestudio.co.za and experienceoverberg.co.za and you grant EO a non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual licence (with a right to sub-license) to use, republish, edit and/or modify your Competition entry in any/all media (including in electronic format, hard copy and in EO publications) for purposes connected with the Competition and as described in these Terms and Conditions; and

- The right to use your name and county of residence for the sole purpose of identifying you as the author of your entry and/or as a winner of the Competition.

You own the copyright to your Competition entry as its author. Your entry must be your own work, must not be copied, must not contain any third-party materials and/or content that you do not have permission to use, must not include any trademarks, and must not show inappropriate or dangerous behaviour, or otherwise be obscene, defamatory, distasteful, offensive, or in breach of any applicable law or regulation, or in breach of any confidentiality obligations owed by you to third parties. If EO has reason to believe your entry is not your own work or otherwise breaches these Terms and Conditions, then EO may not consider it and may disqualify it.

Picking the winners

The Experience Overberg team (the "Judges") will choose one winning entry and two runners up entries from all the valid Competition entries received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions

When choosing the winner and runners up, the Judges will be looking for the most well composed, artistic and original image that evokes the best interpretation of the theme Live-Work-Play in Hermanus.

The Judges' decision of who the Winner is will be made on or before 25 June 2015. The Judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The Prizes

The winner’s image will be displayed in the main feature article on Hermanus and possibly the front cover of Issue 6 and the runners up will have their images featured elsewhere in the article.

The winner will receive a hamper to the value of R1500 and each runner up will receive a bottle of wine each. Delivery of prizes is included to any address in the Overberg. Should the winner reside elsewhere a courier charge will be incurred by the winner.

Winners will be notified by EO by telephone or email on or before the 1st of July 2015

EO shall provide a picture credit for all photos published.

The prizes cannot be exchanged or transferred by you and cannot be redeemed by you for cash or any other prize. You must pay all other costs associated with the prize and not specifically included in the prize.
