The mission behind the Greyton Art Walk was to give local artists a platform to present their artwork to the public. The community grew the event into a chance to share the area's beauty and their love for hospitality with visitors.
Participating artists at the Greyton Art Walk each exhibit at least ten pieces, which will also be for sale at the following venues:
Greyton Art Walk showcases the work of local and visiting artists.
Richard Scott is a renowned British artist, based in Cape Town, South Africa.
Richard’s career started in 2001 at Hout Bay Gallery where his 25 artworks sold within six weeks. Over the years, he has created 5,000+ works, including 4,000 paintings, 1,500 prints, and 1,000 sketches.
Known for describing his style as "Naive meets Pop Art," Richard’s distinctive approach has earned him recognition in South Africa and internationally. His work has been featured on the auction circuit, and he is well-regarded for his prolific output across mediums that includes acrylics on canvas, prints, sketches, sculpture, ceramics, and spray paint.
Richard has held 109 global exhibitions, 29 being solo shows, in countries such as South Africa, the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, and the United States
Greyton Art Walk includes many of the area’s restaurants.
Aside from exhibiting art, participating restaurants will serve their signature dishes, local wines, and craft beers.
This, along with some great specials, makes exploring Greyton’s culinary art a taste adventure not to be missed.
