Endometriosis is a common condition that affects about 1 in 10 women of reproductive age. It can cause pelvic pain, heavy periods, and fertility problems. According to Dr Adeléne Esterhuizen, a Gynaecologist and Obstetrician at Mediclinic Hermanus, some women have no symptoms, while others may struggle with pain and difficulty falling pregnant.
