CEREC is one such technology that plays an important role in many of our advanced cosmetic procedures to ensure that we provide patients with the best looking and most comfortable solutions possible.

What is CEREC CAD/CAM technology?

CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics or CEramic REConstruction) is the computer aided design and manufacture for creating dental restorations. This process allows dentists to construct, produce and insert individual ceramic restorations directly at the point of treatment (in the dentist’s chair) in a single appointment.

Nobody has time to waste these days. Your time is too valuable to be at the dentist all day, not to mention having to return for follow-up visits. We are thrilled to offer you CEREC restoration services, which allow us to complete crowns, veneers, inlays and fillings in one single visit.

Due to the accurate digital mapping that charts the inside of a patient’s mouth down to the last detail, there is no issue with inaccurate dental impressions that lead to patient discomfort from bulky moulds and unnecessary debris in their mouth

How we use this technology:

1. CEREC’s 3D video imaging technology photographs your tooth

2. It then uses CAD/CAM technology to design your new tooth

3. This 3D design is then sent wirelessly to a milling machine which shapes a block of pure ceramic into a beautiful, custom made tooth while you wait.

4. We then permanently bond your restoration and you’re good to go!
