Celebrating Mandela Day 2026
Hermanus Rainbow Trust celebrated Mandela Day on 17 July 2026, and what a special day it was!
We were honoured to welcome stakeholders from the Department of Education, the Department of Social Development, and sponsors from our Sponsor a Child programme. They dedicated their 67 minutes to preparing and serving refreshments for the vulnerable children in our care.
Our children also proudly honoured their 67 minutes by decorating the walls of our centre at 75 Petros Ntlapo Street, Zwelihle, filling the space with colour and creativity.
A special thank you to one generous volunteer, who spent his 67 minutes repairing our kitchen sinks, fixing door handles and replacing lights around the centre. Your time and skills have made a meaningful difference.
Thank you to everyone who helped make Mandela Day so memorable. Together, we honoured Nelson Mandela's legacy through service, kindness and community.
