A Few Truths About Tough Times

We all go through tough times. It is a part of life. One of the purposes of life is to grow and to facilitate growth means that we need to exit our comfort zone. This is normally a very scary prospect and it takes guts and dedication to move beyond the safety of our comfort zone. Sometimes we lack the courage and initiative to move past our comfort zone. An adverse event may just serve as the catalyst we need to propel us to the next stage of our lives, especially if we are afraid to take that step. Sometimes, the universe brings adversity to awaken and capture our attention, especially when we have become too complacent.

A few pointers about adversity.

If you accept that tough times are a natural part of life's seasons, it can prevent you from falling into depression.

Maintain a healthy perspective. Going through tough times does not mean you are not blessed. The Universe may be preparing you for something great. This preparation is often not easy, but it is the foundation for better things to come.

Difficult times will reveal who your true friends are and expose those who are fake.

Tough times will introduce you to true friends who are drawn to you to aid you to discover your true purpose.

The best ideas tend to be conceptualised during tough times.

Sometimes, you may find yourself at a dead end where only the Creator can assist.

Great people have learned the art of turning difficult times into a pathway to mastery.

There are some lessons that tough times can teach you that good times cannot.

Tough times will open your eyes to see opportunities and doors that you may have overlooked.

Tough times will strip you down to your core, revealing your true self. Tough times will force you to confront yourself and discover what you are truly made of.

When you are going through tough times, there is no need to impress anyone. You just have to be yourself.

Most couples experience their best season after hitting rock bottom. That is when their true love is tested, and they emerge stronger together.

Instead of complaining about tough times, ask yourself, "What is the lesson? What am I being shown, and how can I ride this wave to become a better person?"

Read biographies of great people. No story of greatness has ever been written without a season of tough times.

Up the mountain and down the valley, the Lord is with you as your guide. God is with you even during difficult times.

Tough times might set you back, prompting you to re-strategise or change course, but you will soon surge forward with more strength than ever before.

There is a better, wiser version of yourself waiting for you after you have overcome tough times.

Once you conquer tough times, mentor others with the lessons learned. Do not hesitate to share your wisdom generously. Greatness is not selfish.
