The Law of Relativity

The Law of Relativity states that each person is presented with a range of tests that act as tests of initiation. These tests are intended to assess where we are on our spiritual path and to determine what experiences we need to learn. They are important for spiritual growth and how we respond to them determines whether we are ready to advance to the next level on our spiritual journey. If we fail a test, we will be presented with a more challenging one. When we face these tests in a positive frame of mind and view them as opportunities for learning, the lessons they contain will be unlocked and we will be able to use them to transcend the level of understanding and awareness we are at. Once we pass these tests of initiation and apply the lessons that accompany them, it will strengthen us and stimulate spiritual growth.

The Law of Relativity teaches us to compare our challenges to those of others to place things into perspective. No matter how bad you may perceive your situation to be, there will always be those worse off than you. Nothing is good or bad until you compare it with something else! Before anything is judged, it just is. When your circumstances seem tragic, and you feel like the most unfortunate person in the world, it is only because you allocated this meaning to your situation. Compared to a worst-case scenario, your circumstances will not seem so tragic. A millionaire’s financial wealth may seem like a dime when compared to a billionaire’s wealth. Yet a millionaire could be a role model for a poor person. If you seek the learnings to be found in any unwanted situation that confronts you and view them as opportunities for growth, your life will change. Life challenges are opportunities for learning and growth and if viewed as such they become the portals to personal expansion that contribute to your evolution.

Focus on what you want and do your absolute best to achieve it. Create your unique goals rather than living up to somebody else's.
