MUNICIPAL ACCOUNTS WILL NOT BE POSTED ANYMORE

Overstrand Municipality will no longer send out printed accounts by post.

To ensure that you receive your municipal account statement, please register to receive your Municipal Account via E-MAIL or SMS.

HOW TO GET YOUR MUNICIPAL ACCOUNT:

1. VIA SMS NOTIFICATION

Account holders can make use of the Municipality’s SMS database to register their cell phone number to receive the full outstanding amount of the municipal account via SMS notification. 

Only one cell phone number per household/account will be accommodated. 

To activate the SMS service, please send an email to enquiries@overstrand.gov.za or contact a Client Services Officer at your closest municipal rates hall. Remember to include your account number when requesting this service.

2. VIA E-MAIL

Residents are encouraged to register to receive their municipal accounts via e-mail. 

E-mail your contact details and account number to enquiries@overstrand.gov.za or contact the Finance Department at your nearest municipal rates hall for assistance.

Kindly note, that you will not get a confirmation email that you have successfully registered on the SMS or e-mail database.

3. IN PERSON

Ratepayers can have a hard copy of their monthly account printed, free of charge, at the rates hall of the municipal offices in Gansbaai, Stanford, Hermanus or Kleinmond during the week. service.
