Likewise, anyone who sets of an emergency flare other than for the purpose it is intended for, will be prosecuted and will face a hefty fine, perhaps even jail time.
All shops and street vendors trading in the Overstrand are prohibited from stocking and/or selling fireworks. In the interest of keeping everyone safe and sound during the festive season,
please report illegal trade and setting off of fireworks to your nearest SAPS station or call Law Enforcement on 028 313 8996.
