Please note that a scam involving an email purporting to come from the Overstrand Municipality and the Department of Justice is doing the rounds.
The Overstrand Additional Court re-opened its doors on 1 June 2020 and will be open to the public on Mondays - Fridays between 09:00 and 12:00 for representations and enquiries during lockdown level 3.
Overstrand Municipality kindly requests the public, wherever possible, to send electronic representations directly to Jacques Wilkinson, the Prosecutor of the Additional Court, rather than physically go and hand them in at the Additional Court. Representations can be sent to the following email addresses: jwilkinson@overstrand.gov.za or enquiries@overstrand.gov.za.
The cashiers’ office at the Additional Court is also open for payment of all fines relating to matters prosecuted in the Additional Court, including traffic offences and offences relating to Overstrand Municipality By-Laws. Payment of all fines can also be done via EFT - details thereof to be obtained at the Additional Court or phone 028 313 8000 or 028 313 8924.
Safety Measures
Adherence to Regulations and good hygiene, such as wearing a mask, undergoing screening (including temperature checks), maintaining social distancing, and access control, will be strictly enforced at the entrance of the Additional Court.
