UPDATE ON SERVICES AT HERMANUS TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT

UPDATE ON SERVICES AT HERMANUS TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT

In order to address the backlog created by the national lockdown and to best serve our residents in the shortest possible time, the following arrangements have been put in place:

• Rescheduled bookings/testing of LEARNER LICENSES to address backlog will take place on TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS from 08:00 - 15:30 and SATURDAYS from 08:30 - 12:00.

- No new learner license appointments will be made until further notice.

• Rescheduled bookings for DRIVING LICENSE TESTS to address backlog will take place on TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS from 08:00 - 15:30 and SATURDAYS from 08:30 - 12:00.

- No new driver's licence appointments will be made until further notice.

• Renewal of DRIVER’S LICENCE AND PROFESSIONAL DRIVER’S PERMITS (PDP) will take place on MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS and FRIDAYS from 08:00 - 15:30.

• MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION will be dealt with on MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS and FRIDAYS from 08:00 - 15:30.

• The ROADWORTHY TESTING STATION is open MONDAYS to FRIDAYS from 08:00 - 15:30 and SATURDAYS 08:30 - 12:00.

• As far as possible, residents who are able to RENEW VEHICLE LICENSES ONLINE should do so. Hermanus residents can contact 028 313 8031/5033 to ascertain the correct amount due before making an EFT payment. Always use your car licence number as reference number.

• COLLECTION OF EFT PAYMENTS FOR MOTOR VEHICLE LICENSES will be done on TUESDAYS, THURSDAYS from 08:00 - 15:30 and SATURDAYS from 08:00 - 13:00.

• COLLECTION OF DRIVER’S LICENCE CARDS can be done on TUESDAYS, THURSDAYS from 08:00 - 15:30 and SATURDAYS from 08:00 - 13:00.

• DEALERSHIPS will be assisted on TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS from 08:00 - 15:30 and SATURDAYS from 08:00 - 13:00.
