Apply for Household Garden Support

The Overstrand Municipality's Local Economic Development Department (LED) hereby invites applicants to apply for HOUSEHOLD GARDENS SUPPORT.

Closing Date for Applications: 19 March 2021

This is an initiative for a start-up garden that aims to:

• Alleviate food insecurity in the Overstrand area.

• Support individuals, households and organizations that have passion for gardening.

WHO MAY APPLY: Any Person Who:

• Residing within the Overstrand area.

• An elderly (age 60 and above).

• Unemployed

• Child headed household (under the age of 18).

ORGANISATIONS:

• Gender based violence affected homes (Non-Governmental)

• Early Childhood Centres (ECD’s)

• Old Age Homes

• Non-Governmental Soup Kitchens

Interested Applicants:

• Collect and complete application form from LED office.

Attach the following:

• Certified copy of identity document.

• Proof of residence.

GROENTETUINE - GRYP GELEENTHEID AAN EN DOEN AANSOEK OM HULP

Die Departement van Plaaslike Ekonomiese Ontwikkeling (PEO) nooi belanghebbendes uit om aansoek te doen vir ondersteuning om 'n groentetuin te begin.

Die sluitingsdatum vir indiening van aansoeke is 19 Maart 2021.

Hierdie projek beoog om:

• Voedselonsekerheid in die Overstrand-gebied te verlig.

• Huishoudings en organisasies te ondersteun wat n passie het vir tuinmaak.

WIE MAG AANSOEK DOEN?

• Persone wat in die Overstrand-area woonagtig is.

• Persone wat 60 jaar of ouer is.

• Persone wat werkloos.

• Persone wat minderjarig is (onder 18) en hoof van ‘n huishouding is.

ORGANISASIES:

• Huishoudings wat deur geslagsgeweld geaffekteer word.

• Vroeë-kinderjare ontwikkelingsentrums.

• Nie-regerings sopkombhuise.

Belangstellendes kan aansoekvorms by die PEO-kantore afhaal en inhandig.
