SANRAL training to assist local contractors to access opportunities within construction industry.
The newly appointed librarian at the Mount Pleasant Library, Princess Sibutha, is excited about the opportunity to head the library with its rich history serving the people of Mount Pleasant.
Princess is no stranger to the literary world. She moved from the library in Zwelihle, when it burned down in July 2018, to the Hermanus library where she worked for the past three years.
She said she and her fellow library assistants, Alethea Johnson, Phuthumani Pono, Joslene Goliath and Theodora Adonis are looking forward to adding value to the community.
Last week, children of the Care and Share Creche were invited for a library tour. The library staff read stories to them during its story time hour.
Mount Pleasant library offers limited access to computers/internet. Scanning and copying facilities are also available. Printing (in black and white only) costs R1 per page. Library staff will work according to heightened Covid-19 hygiene requirements as well as social distancing as far as possible.
The temporary Covid-19 hours are from Monday to Friday from 10:00 - 15:30 and on Wednesday open from 10:00 and close at 14:00 pm for library disinfection.
