FIRE SEASON IS COMING - Get Ready
The fire season in the Overstrand started on 1 November.
World Ranger Day is celebrated on 31 July every year to honour the meaningful work of rangers and guides who protect our nature reserves, parks and wetlands for future generations.
On Saturday we will also remember rangers who were injured or killed in the line of duty.
Closer to home, Overstrand Municipality wishes to pay tribute to the Environmental Management Services Department and all roleplayers who take pride in their work and love for nature while protecting vulnerable plant and animal species from ransackers. In this way they conserve biodiversity and educate and engage with residents and visitors who visit our reserves.
We are grateful for their ongoing service.
