The Overstrand Municipality is allowing restaurants to use sidewalks adjacent to their properties for outdoor dining in an effort to enable eateries to optimise the festive season’s trade and thereby accommodate diners safely.
Permission has also been granted to allow for the closure of sections of streets in Hermanus on specific days and timeslots during heavy pedestrian traffic. These allowances have been made in the interest of our restaurants and their clients and approval has been granted for the 2022 Easter and December holidays as well.
