SANRAL training to assist local contractors to access opportunities within construction industry.
Overstrand Municipality has been working for the past four months to create and deploy a mobile application for residents of Overstrand to log service delivery requests and to provide the Municipality with an additional channel to engage with the public by means of News Feeds for Media Releases and information, and Notifications for service disruptions in an area. The mobile application also make provision for future engagement between Overstrand Municipality and its constituents with regards to other solutions - for example completing Surveys.
The planned launch for the Collab Citizen App for Overstrand was 1 July 2022, but development was hindered by stability issues experienced on the platform for Huawei devices.
A lot of hard work has gone into addressing of these issues in the past two weeks and good progress have been made, specifically with maps issues experienced on Huawei devices. Developers are still not comfortably with the overall stability of the mobile application on Huawei devices and need time to properly test the App before committing to release a version to production.
A suitable version that addresses these stability issues should be available for testing soon and the planned launch is now postponed to 18 July 2022.
The mobile application is fully functional for Android and iOs devices. To download the Collab Citizen App, go to your phone’s app store (Google Play Store, iOs Ap Store or Huawei App Gallery) and search for Collab Citizen App.
